Kia Ora Bloggers! Today in RE we have been learning about The Widow And Her Coins. It will all be exlained in the scrit below.
All: Hello and welcome to channel 6 news!
Quinn: Today we have a news report about the widow and her coins. This is a story about a widow that gives all she has instead of just a little bit of money she wouldn’t notice is missing.
Sidney: One day Jesus was watching people put donations in the offering box when a poor widow came and put in 2 small coins.
Ruby: Jesus told his disciples to gather round. He said; this poor widow went and put in more than the others yet she only put in 2 small coins.
Quinn: She put in all she had, but the others put in a small amount of money they have just had in their pocket. People were probably watching and judging because she put in a small amount.
Sidney: The point of this is putting in more of what you have is more but putting in a small amount of what you have is a small amount.
Ruby: What are some ways we can be like the widow?
Quinn: If someone needs help and you want to go and play you should help them.
Sidney: If you see someone with something different or someone less fortunate than you don’t judge them just accept them.
Ruby: Don’t worry what other people think of you, just think good of yourself.
Quinn: Don’t be jealous of other people because you are you and you can’t be afraid to be yourself.
Sidney: Think of other ways you can be more like the widow and less like the people who judge.
Ruby: That was the gospel for this week. Have a great week, be kind and remember, don’t judge people for who they are!
Quinn: Bye and thanks for watching...
